I always have those moments where I sit and wonder what it truly means to be a woman. There is always society “idea” and there is always the church “idea” Interesting enough women are usually the last ones to get invited to decide what it means.
I talk to women constantly about womanhood and what their journey is like, I am a high believer that your individual womanhood journey is one of the most important things you need to appreciate and love.
The journey of a woman has been shaped and molded for centuries by the ever-written rules and ideas from men. It’s interesting that in 2017 women are still been molded by men. It’s like living in this woman’s body doesn’t make us the owners, we are not strong enough to define what our experiences should be.
How do you measure womanhood? Do you measure it at all? How many truly happy women do you know? I’m not talking about bumps in the road or hard days that we all have, but how many women truly embrace womanhood and love their journey?
To many times I find myself talking to women who fuss about career expectations, made by men, family expectations of love, life, marriage and motherhood, church expectations, submissiveness, children, society expectations, beauty and perfection and that damn superwoman syndrome.
My wish is that more women would break from this unwritten law that women don’t own their womanhood and it’s in the hands of others. It’s yours, and you deserve to embrace and have a peace of mind with it.
The most important question is, are you happy and free in your womanhood journey? How are you defining womanhood for yourself?
"Your confidence as a woman is your power, women are powerful, from our voices, our minds, our inner beauty, to our bodies, we must learn to own it and be comfortable in our own skin. " No one should be able to decide when and how we get to be gentle, sensitive, a mother, a wife, a friend, a career-woman and a woman in general.
Sweet woman, you beautiful soul flower, you deserve to embrace life, motherhood, friendship, career, sex, the way you decide to live on this earth, your way.
My beautiful soul flower, your beautiful spirit, your souls desire doesn’t lie in the expectations and demands of rules made by others.
